History of the Ship
Chantiers de l'Atlantique, now STX France Cruise SA, began Crystal Cruises newest ship Crystal Serenity in 2002. Lead designer of the ship was Robert Tillberg of Tillberg Design. The ship cost approximately US$350 million and entered service in 2003. Dame Julie Andrews christened her at Southampton, England.
What's on Board
Crystal Serenity's dining room offers either Perfect Choice Dining which allows passenger to choose the Classic Main or Late seating or Dining by Reservation which allows the maximum flexibility by offering the passenger the freedom to reserve a table when they want. In addition to the main dining room there are 2 specialty restaurants, Prego and Silk Road. All restaurants offer extraordinary menu selections. Schott Zwiesel crystal, Villeroy and Boch china, Sambonet and Elkinton silver, and Frette or Farnier linens further raise your senses for the ultimate dining experience.
The Lido Cafe provides buffet style food, Crystal style.
Staterooms on Crystal Serenity range from Oceanview averaging 226 SF to the Crystal Penthouse with 1345 SF including balcony.
While there are 2 large swimming pools and 2 jacuzzis you will not find a rock climbing wall anywhere. There is a well appointed gym as well as a beautiful Crystal Spa for all your treatments.
